Section 5.5.1.3 of NFPA Standard 130 is hereby amended by the addition of a new subsection 5.5.1.3.3 to read as follows:

5.5.1.3.3 Every required stairway in enclosed stations serving floor levels more than 30 feet (9,144 mm) below its level of exit discharge, except those regularly used by passengers shall comply with the requirements for a smokeproof enclosure in Section 1023.11 of the International Building Code.
