When activated, the common functions of the emergency operations center shall be to support coordination of decisions that protect life and property, both within the city and outside partners; collect, gather and analyze data; provide situational awareness; and support on-scene resource needs. The emergency operations center staff shall be trained and have the authority to carry out necessary actions to respond effectively. (Ord. 6255 § 3, 2015.)
