Section 901 of the International Fire Code is hereby amended with a new Section 901.6.4 to read as follows:

Section 901.6.4 Certification. Individuals who install, inspect, test or maintain fire protection systems or portable fire extinguishers shall obtain the proper certificate from the fire code official in accordance with Administrative Rule 9.01.20 and any future revisions of this rule adopted by the fire code official.

[WS] In addition to fire alarm systems, all installation, inspecting, testing, maintenance, and programming not defined as “Electrical Work” by chapter 19.28 RCW shall be completed by a NICET II in fire alarms (effective July 1, 2017).
