Each department director shall have specific duties and responsibilities for response, mitigation, continuity, and recovery as provided in the city comprehensive emergency management plan and shall ensure that the policies established by the emergency management program in the plan are implemented within their respective city departments. Department directors are responsible for reviewing and approving updates to the related response, continuity, mitigation, or recovery documentation in the comprehensive emergency management plan as it relates to their specific duties. Department directors shall appoint personnel as emergency operations center staff and ensure personnel are trained appropriately for emergency response. (Ord. 6255 § 3, 2015.)
